Asher Jelinsky

Director / Writer

Asher Jelinsky is a writer/director originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Asher earned their MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute (AFI) and holds BA degrees with honors in Media Studies and Public Health from Pitzer College. They enjoy telling character-driven stories that explore nuanced relationships and outsider perspectives. Asher won the Student Academy Award, the BAFTA Student Film Award, and Cannes Lions Young Director Award. Their films have screened internationally at festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, Maryland, and Seattle among others. Asher is currently developing their first feature and a tv pilot.


Kate ChamuRis


Kate Chamuris is an award winning producer and director. She produced the American Film Institute thesis shorts MILLER & SON (dir. Asher Jelinsky; winner, BAFTA student award, winner ‘19, Student Academy Award Gold ‘19) and BALLOON (dir. Jeremy Merrifield (winner, Grand Prix at HollyShorts ‘19). She also produced the AFI Directing Workshop for Women shorts, UNSPEAKABLE (dir. Milena Govich; world premiere SXSW '18) and BLOCKS (dir. Bridget Moloney) currently in post-production. She directed the comedy short A SARI FOR PALLAVI (winner, Best Comedy Short at Rhode Island International Film Festival ‘19). Kate is currently a development producer at Dream Three Films in Los Angeles, CA.


Robert Nachman


Robert Nachman is a father, artist and cinematographer. He was born and bred in Pennsylvania and spent his formative years chasing girls on his bicycle, catching fireflies in mason jars, and inventing new and imaginative ways to get into trouble. Robert is a mediocre rock climber and is currently renovating a cabin in the Mojave Desert. He received his BFA in Photography from Metropolitan State College of Denver. His video art and installation has been exhibited nationally, and he has spent the last 5 years shooting narrative, documentary and music video works in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of the MFA Cinematography program at the American Film Institute and co-owner of the boutique production company Spin The Dial.


Robert Aguirre

Production designer

Robert Aguirre is a recent graduate of the MFA Production Design program at the American Film Institute and received his BS in Television, Film and New Media Production from San Diego State University. While at SDSU, he emphasized in Production Design and worked as a scene shop teaching assistant for the film program. He has gained success in the commercial and editorial realms, working with many notable companies such as Disney, Matchbox, Chick-fil-A, Mattel, Nintendo, Qualcomm, Sony, Vanity Fair and Wired Magazine. He also worked as an art department assistant for the NBC show THE GOOD PLACE.




Tian (Selinda) Zhou graduated with a BA in Culture and Expression and a diploma in Digital Media Arts in Canada. She is the editor-in-chief of International Famous Magazine. She has directed and edited short films, including documentaries, music videos and concerts. In 2014, she appeared in the movie TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION. She also performed her new single on TRANSFORMERS Gala Appreciation Night; and as bilingual MC, she hosted the movie premiere. In 2015, she was a finalist on CHINA’S GOT TALENT, which aired on China Central TV. After the show, she held her first solo concert in North America. Selinda’s background in music helps inform her sense of rhythm, pacing, and sound design as an editor.
